After developing a thorough understanding of your unique circumstances and goals, the 1:1 parent coaching session will deliver guided strategies tailored to your child’s specific developmental and behavioral needs.

These practical tools are intended to support you through challenges you face at home, but may also be prove beneficial when incorporated into academic and extracurricular environments as well.

What to expect

  • A virtual, private coaching session with Dr. Machin. You pick a convenient time.

  • A supportive hour for parents and caretakers of neurodivergent children who want to learn strategies to help their child achieve success, while creating a healthier family dynamic. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend the sessions.
  • A targeted approach, designed to help change patterns of thinking — for both the parent and child. Personalized, one-on-one problem-solving, skill development, guidance, and resources help parents cultivate patience, enhance communication, and create deeper connections with their child.

How it works

  • Request a complimentary, 20-minute phone consultation. Dr. Machin will learn about your situation and goals — and determine if private coaching is a good option.
  • Select the day and time that fits your schedule and book your 1:1 session. You will be emailed a link to join the virtual, 60-minute session. Member receive one 45-minute 1:1 session each month at no additional cost.
  • Cost is $175 per session. You can book as many sessions as you find helpful.

No, you do not need an official diagnosis to qualify for our services, either as a member or non-member! With the main ideas that each person/family may encounter struggles in their communication and relationships from time to time, and some people may never receive an official diagnosis, SOAR Pediatrics feel it is critical to welcome anyone wishing to learn more about brains and behavior.

Yes, every 1:1 session will be with Dr. Heather Machin, who is a board-certified pediatrician.

How do I attend 1:1 or community group sessions?2025-05-21T13:40:04-04:00

The 1:1 sessions will be self-scheduling and you will receive a reminder before the session begins, with a link to join the virtual meeting. Group sessions for members are at established times, two times per month. An email reminder will be sent before the community meeting takes place and you’re able to click a link to join the virtual session.
